Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In memory of Dan and to help raise money for Ty Gobaith I plan to walk up and down Snowdon for the first time ever on Thursday, 4 July 2019 ( I know Dan would be impressed and proud). I have been motivated to do this to help raise vital funds for Ty Gobaith as a thank you for their support and bereavement counselling I received following Dan's sudden death.
Ty Gobaith is charity run and need funds to offer bereavement counselling to families who have lost a child under 25 years of age. Currently they can only offer this help to one family out of every three. Also close to my heart is to help raise funds for another Snowflake Suite. Hopefully you will never know why this is but sadly it is much needed at Ty Gobaith. It is a special private space at a parent's time of grief. This room offers you time to say goodbye to your child in your own way and in your own time. This room is something I found about during my bereavemenr counselling. I struggled with letting Dan "go" to a mortuary and then an undertakers. I later met other bereaved parents of young children and to hear their stories touched my heart. I felt blessed to have had Dan for 23 years and 11 months and to have had many happy memories. Dan was an adult (as he would remind me!) and I know he too would want a child to be with their grieving parents in a Snowflake Suite, so they could be close at such a time.
You can visit Ty Gobaith website to see the range of services that children, young people and families so desperately need: www.tygobaith.org.uK.
Anyone wishing to join me on 4 July are welcome. Its an oppotunity to remember Dan and help raise money for Ty Gobaith. I hope this will be a fun and sociable day with happy memories of Dan, as well as a great opportunity to support Ty Gobaith.
Please share this with family and friends to help raise money for such an amazing charity. Thank you.
